The Controversial Resignation: RoS affirms that Mahatir is no longer the PPBM Chaiman



The Registrar of Societies (RoS) reported that after his resignation in the midst of the political instability in late February, Dr Mahathir Mohamad is no longer the chairman of PPBM.

A letter sent to the party by RoS dated May 5 said the resignation of Mahathir was valid and that the service of PPBM president Muhyiddin Yassin in the capacity of president was also valid.

They highlighted that after the resignation of the chairman, the president of the PPBM has the right to act as chairman until elections are held in accordance with clause 16.9 of the constitution of the PPBM. Read More...
